Bob Foley ('81)
Bob Foley is Managing Director, Chief Financial and Chief Risk Officer of TPG Real Estate Finance Trust (“TRT”), a private REIT with $1.2 billion AUM managed by TPG. Previously, Bob was with TPG Special Situations Partners LP (“TSSP”), where he directed credit-based investment activity in United States commercial real estate for the $11 billion AUM special situations platform of TPG. Bob was a co-founder, Chief Financial Officer and later Chief Operating Officer of Gramercy Capital Corp. (NYSE: GPT), a real estate investment trust with debt and net lease investments throughout the United States. Previously, he was co-head of high yield commercial real estate debt investing for Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s special situations group, and led the domestic commercial real estate capital markets business at Bankers Trust Company (since merged with Deutsche Bank). He began his career with Touche Ross & Co. in its San Francisco office. Bob earned B.A. degrees in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of many real estate trade groups.
